Synopsis

Seo Hye Rim is a hot-tempered news announcer who was fired by the broadcasting company, but is later elected to the National Assembly and became the first female president of Korea. She faces political pressure and potential impeachment from Kang Tae San and his followers, but survives with the aid of the prosecutor Ha Do Ya.

Episode 7 Synopsis/Recap/Summary


Jo Bae Ho giving a press conference that his party Min Woo Dang has taken victory in the by-election that because his party adopted a “clean” campaign & that in return gratitude to the voters who sanction their “clean” campaign that he promised to adopted the same stand of policy for the National election next year with their greatest effort. Kang Tae San doesn’t look all to happy at the press conference. Jo Bae Ho propose a toast after his speech that they will cheers to their clean campaign as Seo Hye Rim drinks her champagne. Jo Bae Ho comes to the floor to congratulate the winning legislators then shakes Seo Hye Rim for her narrow victory in her election campaign over 12 votes as Seo Hye Rim correct him by saying it is 11 votes & it is all due to lady luck was on her side then tells that Kang Tae San has render her great effort in her victory. Jo Bae Ho tells Seo Hye Rim that in politics, luck is also consider a capability & ability that her election was meant to be reckon then tells that here after, luck will play a part in her politics & asked Kang tae San whether he subscribe to his theory. Kang Tae San tells that Seo Hye Rim will become the corner stone of their party in the future. Jo Bae Ho concurs that Kang Tae San stake his own political career on a gamble for Seo Hye Rim to win

Then Ha Do Ya comes in to the party & calls out to Jo Bae Ho then greets Jo Bae Ho & introduce himself officially to Jo Bae Ho then asked whether Jo Bae Ho recognise him. Jo Bae Ho surprise at Ha Do Ya presence to ask why is the purpose that Ha Do Ya here. Ha Do Ya hands over an envelope for Jo Bae Ho to receive as Oh Jae Bong snatch the envelope off him to ask what is this. Ha Do Ya grabs it back from Oh Jae Bong telling that the envelope is not for him but for Jo Bae Ho then hands over the envelope to Jo Bae Ho to tell it is a subpoena for him. Jo Bae Ho is shocked that it is a subpoena. Ha Do ya assures Jo Bae Ho that this is in act accordance to the law that the subpoena is issue by the Court of law. Ha Do Ya tells that Jo Bae Ho might not need to attend court but Ha Do Ya hope that he will attend likewise since he is now preaching “Clean” politics for Korea. Lastly Ha Do Ya congratulate Min Woo Dang for their victory in the elections. Ha Do Ya leaves a very aghast Jo Bae Ho whom the reporter having a field day with flash photography.

Seo Hye Rim chases Ha Do Ya to the door then asked what has happened & tells that Ha Do Ya is a little out of line to do this is such an occasion like today. Ha Do Ya question Seo Hye Rim what day is today that Min Woo Dan’s victory election is not a gazetted a national public holiday on the calendar then queries Seo Hye Rim that she will not become a spokesperson’s mic for her party. Seo Hye Rim appalled by that comment as Ha Do Ya tells Seo Hye Rim to cherish his vote for her & not to disappoint her electorate voters as Ha Do Ya tells that he will put a surveillance on Seo Hye Rim as his right as a citizen who has voted her into office

Kang Tae San comes out to asked whether Ha Do Ya’s action was really out of line. Ha Do Ya then asked does Kang Tae San know what people he most despise that a person who has been a Prosecutor advocating the law & yet plays lobby with politics. Ha Do Ya advice Kang Tae San to be caution that he will not be bias because he was once a Senior in the Prosecutor Office. Ha Do Ya greets them goodbye & leaves. Seo Hye Rim apologise for Ha Do Ya’s rudeness & explains that Ha Do Ya character has always been shrewd. Kang Tae San tells that being a Prosecutor should portray that the kind of daring courage like Ha Do Ya then compare to that, he is curious about a matter & asked what is Seo Hye Rim’s relationship with Ha Do Ya. Seo Hye Rim is surprise at the question & tells that they are just Senior & Junior from the same hometown then asked Kang Tae San what is his reason for asking that question. Kang tae San just tells that in passing curiosity that he is just asking as he thought they has some special relationship then invites Seo Hye Rim to join back the party

Oh Jae Bong tells Jo Bae Ho that Ha Do Ya action to subpoena Jo Bae Ho at the party was an act to embarrass them in public on purpose then ask Jo Bae Ho to called the Minister of Justice to sack Ha Do Ya. Jo Bae Ho asked whether they can sack Ha Do Ya. Seo Hye Rim tells that the National Assembly is just dead ahead & why would see take the car to the building. Kang tae San tells that it is her 1st day at the National Assembly & afraid that she might not have her bearings of the place & will like to escort her & show her around to familiarise. Seo Hye Rim obliged as Kang tae San enter the national Assembly & there is some protestors at the entrance petition for their rights as a protestor carrying a child on her back taps on Seo Hye Rim car window, as the car drove away & Seo Hye Rim takes a 2nd glance at the protestor.

Kang Tae San show Seo Hye Rim her office as her staff greets Seo Hye Rim & Kang Tae San takes her to see her office then she sees her name on the desk. Wang Jong Gi comes knocking at the office then greets Seo Hye Rim who warmly acknowledge her then tells that she will be assisting Seo Hye Rim as her staff under the instruction of Kang Tae San. Seo Hye Rim acknowledge & express that this is great then Wang Jong Gi introduce the staff to Seo Hye Rim that will be assisting her in office. Seo Hye Rim introduce herself then tells that she will put her utmost effort to do her best. Kang tae San takes the gold lapel pin & tells that this lapel pin is worn by Republic of Korea’s Legislator. Seo Hye Rim takes the lapel pin then asked whether this is really gold then takes a bite at the lapel pin as Wang Jong Gi tells that it is just gold plated that it only cost W19,500 to buy them in the National Assembly Administration office but then if it purchase in other places, the price is 25,000. Ha Do ya tells that Seo Hye Rim depends on her own effort to win her seat to the National Assembly then tells that Seo Hye Rim has that kind of determination that no matter how impossible can be able to make possible then asked Kong Seong Jo whether he wants to bet a stake of W10,000 on the wager. Kong Seong Jo tells that does Ha Do ya wants to be strip of his lawyer’s gown since Ha Do ya can still have a beef stew shop to sustain his livelihood but then Kong Seong Jo tells that he is a father of a few daughters, what about him then if he is no longer a prosecutor. Ha Do Ya asked Kong Seong Jo to have some confidence in his abilities & assures that Kong Seong Jo will be able to be promoted to Seoul then asked to carry on with lunch as Kong Seong Jo sighs at the stubborn Ha Do Ya.

Seo Hye Rim & others are sworn in as legislators to the National Assembly as the read their oath & being applauded after reading their oath. Then at the National Assembly, Oh Jae Bong conducts the meeting for its party members as Oh tae bong reiterate the party principals that they will not debate the top part decision in their policy then reminds Seo Hye Rim that she is just a novice legislator that has no serve a political term to treat the others legislator as her elders & seniors in their rankings. Seo Hye Rim question Oh Jae Bong whether they are now in the army since they are elected by the electorate to be in office that there is ranking status in politics. Oh Jae Bong tells that abiding in principals of the party will keep the party in discipline & avoid renegade members with independent thinking. Seo Hye Rim then question against that if the public sentiment is against party principals then what will their solution be. Oh Jae bong reprimand Seo Hye Rim for interrupting with queries that she is the most junior on the table & she should abide by party policy & decision & asked whether she is clear on the matter

The woman protestor asked Seo Hye Rim to listen to her grievances. Seo Hye Rim asked that they will find a better place to talk over as the environment will make her child fall ill easily

Oh Jae Bong tries to curb Ha Do Ya’s subpoena by pulling strings with the Ministry of Justice then Oh Jae Bong has to make a trip to Namseong Public Prosecutor office. Seo Hye Rim knocks on Oh tae Bong’s door then asked that Oh Jae Bong is the public representative for the district of Bongseong as Oh Jae Bong acknowledge then asked what is the noise outside as he heard baby cries then Seo Hye Rim invites the woman protestor to come into Oh Jae Bong’s office then Seo Hye Rim explains that this woman is one of the voters in his constituency that elected him to office at Bongseong then tells that she has heard the woman’s grievances that her husband seeking jobs opportunity has come to Seoul but then met with a mishap & passed away then asked Oh Jae Bong to looks into the woman’s case to render her such justice. Oh Jae Bong pacify the woman to be excuse to step out from the office, so that he can speak to Seo Hye Rim for a moment

Oh Jae Bong asked Seo Hye Rim what is the meaning of this, to bring the woman to his office. Seo Hye Rim tells that the woman is one of the electorate voter of his constituency. The woman thanked Seo Hye Rim that she is willing to render her ear to listen to her grievances that she is grateful with thanks then leaves the National Assembly. Then Seo Hye Rim received a call from Kang Tae San, where she meets Kim Myeong Hwan at his office.

Seo Hye Rim explains her closing debates on her campaign, she apologise for her being tactful. Kim Myeong Hwan tells that he has confidence that Seo Hye Rim will able to reimburse his company losses. Kim Myeong Hwan assures that his company San Ho Group will play an investment role into the development Namseong’s wasteland by constructing their LCD factory that require Seo Hye Rim’s great assistance to the matter. Ha Do Ya drives his scooter pass Oh Jae Bong to make his presence known as he rides off then cuts in front of his car & stop his bike where the driver has to jam the brakes. Ha Do Ya walks towards Oh Jae Bong’s car then knocks on his window as Oh Jae Bong asked Ha Do Ya what seems to be the problem. Ha Do Ya tells that it is indeed Oh Jae Bong that he is such a busy man that he has made a trip to Namseong. Ha Do ya tells that he may be here to threatened Kim Tae Bong to keep his silence. Oh Jae Bong tells ha Do ya is talking nonsensical here where there is in history that a mere Public prosecutor able to charge a political figure

The National Assembly of the Republic of Korea has established itself for over 60 years, during those time, numerous politicians has aspire for political reforms & enter the National assembly with this aspiration, although some of them has become reputable & fame politican later that became a powerful powerbase but however old political attitude actual didn’t change at all..Why is that then?….This is because they have to adhere to the political party’s mandate that will buried & under mind one’s aspiration & believes for them to complied to the mandate, what is left that to advocate that power, one can able to sustain political survival that the reality is really tragic, even we want to enter into a new era of politics & the National Assembly who runs on tax payers money in its governance to enhance the quality lives of its people has become a tragic scene of merely ground for cat & dog fight, can’t alter that matter…I was before a Bolero Sister that I have told my children not to enter into fights that they must be best in relationship that need to be a child that keeps its promises & adhere to the promise made but then what about the adults especially when legislator are seen fighting before the citizen…what will the children learn from this…when each time an election a politician is elected into office, for the sake of gathering votes…will often say this tag line..to my most distinguish & honourable citizen….but however I dare to confess sincerely…honestly we politician has never really respected & honour the citizen we represent…for the politician…that don’t dread or have fear the people it represent…& portray unrestraint arrogantly in manner & behaviour….I do acknowledged that the citizen must be held responsible too….When the citizen voice their grievances that the political governance is failing corrupt & tarnished then choose to point finger & toes at whatsoever, the politican just stand by on the sideline with the arms across & laugh about the problems, do you think that the politicians has any fear in that grievances…this is because there is nothing or no one that instill fear to the politicians….therefore the arise of failure in politics…the future of this country depends in the benefits of political faction moreover without any shame to it. The citizen of Republic of Korea are the proprietors of Republic of Korea. The citizen of Republic of Korea are the parental who nurture & raise the politicians. When the child is disobedient then it is the role of the parent to teach & correct the child, if the child choose not to listen then with some love render to reprimand the child..it is only the citizen of Republic of Korea who are this country political aspiration… The citizen of Republic of Korea please bring out your punishing canes…for the disobedient politician just like a child to cane them with love punished them with the cane… The citizen of Republic of Korea, you need to use your cane to beat the calves of this country politicians…to bring them to their sense that it is an honour & be responsible that they have taken votes from the citizen who has elected them into office…that you must guide them…..teach them….to show to them to let know that who are actual proprietors of this country…you must make it clear to them…. Please the citizen of Republic of Korea, use your canes to set the politics to correct their paths
